DSE英文科｜閱讀卷Reading長答題「無故失分」？可能係忽略呢2大重點！

這次會講DSE英文科閱讀卷的常見失分位——長答題。不少同學明明看得明白閱讀文章，作答後卻拿不到滿分。很多時候不是理解能力不足，而是答題格式未符合評分標準。DSE閱讀長答題同時計算內容分與語言改寫分；就算你理解文意，若直接抄錄原文、沒有直接回應題目、遺漏得分重點，都會被扣分。學會規範化的答題格式，是應付DSE英文科的重要基礎。

兩大答題核心原則

處理閱讀長答題，要牢記兩個基本準則：

1. 緊貼題目要求開頭回應。若是是非題，就要第一時間給Yes / No；若是解釋原因的題目，就用Because或者This is due to開啟答案，不要作無謂鋪排。
2. 分數對應得分重點：1分對應1個論點。遇到指令「Using your own words」，必須作同義改寫，不能直接抄寫文章片語。

【個案1】

題型：是否題（2分，須參考指定段落內容）

閱讀節選 Passage 1 (Lines 15‑20):

• "While many teenagers claim that online learning offers greater flexibility, Professor Chan warns that this mode of study lacks the spontaneous interaction found in physical classrooms. He asserts that without immediate teacher feedback, students tend to procrastinate. However, he concedes that for self‑disciplined learners, recorded lectures can be a useful revision tool."

考試題目（Q1）：

• According to Professor Chan in paragraph 1, does he fully support online learning? (2 marks)

學生常錯答案（無法取得滿分）

• He thinks online learning has no spontaneous interaction and students will procrastinate. Although it is useful for revision, he does not support it.

扣分點：

1. 沒有在開頭直接給Yes/No回應；
2. 大段抄寫原文詞彙，缺少改寫，會損失語言運作分；
3. 得分重點雜亂，閱卷者難以快速看到答題重點。

滿分答案示範（全取2分）

• No. (1分) Professor Chan views online learning negatively because it lacks face‑to‑face interaction and causes delayed feedback, which leads to procrastination. (1分)

得分解析：

1. 直接回應題目：開頭就寫No，清晰回應是非題；
2. 2分題寫出兩個得分重點：缺少互動、令學生拖延，重點清晰，剛好匹配分數要求。

【個案2】

題型：解釋原因題（2分，要求改寫）

閱讀節選 Passage 2 (Lines 8‑12):

• "The proposal to charge for plastic bags at supermarkets has sparked heated debate. Proponents cite the drastic reduction in visible litter. However, critics point out the administrative burden on cashiers, who must now ask every customer, and the fact that many families simply treat the 1‑dollar fee as a negligible cost, thus failing to change habits."

考試題目（Q2）：

• Using your own words, explain ONE reason why critics oppose the plastic bag charge, according to paragraph 2. (2 marks)
• (Note: You must NOT copy whole phrases directly from the passage.)

學生常錯答案（只能取得部份分數）

• Critics oppose it because it brings an administrative burden on cashiers and it is a negligible cost for families.

扣分點：題目明確要求「Using your own words」，但直接抄下administrative burden與negligible cost等原文用詞。就算意思正確，都拿不到語言改寫的分數。

滿分答案示範（全取2分）

• Critics oppose the charge because it forces cashiers to take on extra work during checkout, (1分) and most shoppers see the fee as too cheap to care about, so it doesn't reduce plastic use. (1分)

得分解析：

• 1. 完成改寫要求：把administrative burden轉做extra work；negligible cost轉換成too cheap to care about，完全避開原文片語；
• 2. 完全依照文章邏輯作答，無加入課外常識與無中生有的論點。

很多同學誤以為長答題只要意思正確就可以拿分。但DSE閱讀分開計「內容分」與「語言分」，除了要找出原文的重點，亦要遵從題目的改寫指令。做完練習不要只對答案，要對比自己的寫法與滿分示範的差異，慢慢養成合規的答題習慣，為應對DSE英文做好準備。
